No family should go without food on the table – especially not during the holidays.

The annual Labor of Love – Sponsor a Family fundraising drive will help get food to families in need throughout the east metro this holiday season. Contributions from unions and their members will be accepted through Nov. 20.

All donations are used to purchase gift cards from union grocery stores. Local agencies distribute the gift cards to area families in December.

Agency partners include Catholic Charities in St. Paul, Jewish Community Center and Neighbors, Inc.

The St. Paul Labor Studies and Resource Center, which provides emergency assistance and referrals to local union members facing financial hardship, will also receive a portion of proceeds.

To contribute, mail a check payable to Labor Studies and Resource Center to: Labor Studies and Resource Center (LSRC), Labor of Love, Attn: Laura, 353 West 7th St., Suite 201, St. Paul, MN 55102.
