Regional Labor Federation volunteers and staff worked in support of labor-endorsed candidates and school-levy referendums across the East Metro this fall. On the night before Election Day, union volunteers and candidates made one last push, fanning out across the city to distribute fliers reminding people to vote Nov. 5.

Labor and the DFL Party co-hosted the “Midnight Madness” event at the St. Paul Labor Centre, and it drew more than a dozen DFL elected officials, including Saint Paul Mayor Chris Coleman, U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum and several state legislators.

Thanks to all of the union members who phone banked, door-knocked or otherwise volunteered with us in 2013. Rest assured, we’ll be back at it again soon enough!
