Retiree Fun(d)Raiser

The Minnesota State Retiree Council, AFL-CIO, will hold its annual Fun(d)Raiser from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Sheet Metal Workers Local 10 Hall, 1610 Cope Ave., Maplewood.
In its 19th year, the event typically draws a crowd of retired workers, families and friends together for free food, live music, games, a silent auction, hourly drawings for prizes and the pleasure of good company. Admission and parking are free, and all proceeds support the council’s electoral efforts.
Tickets for the the Statewide Raffle, with prizes ranging from $50 to $500, are on sale now from council board members.
The Retiree Council serves as the umbrella organization of union retiree clubs and local unions with retirees. It provides retired union members and spouses official representation within the Minnesota AFL-CIO and enables retired trade unionists to speak with a unified voice on public policy issues. Affiliated organizations coordinate joint activities through the council.
