Working Families Day at the Capitol

Jim Smola, a member of the Dakota County Labor Assembly, asks lawmakers about education funding.Union members from across Minnesota met with their lawmakers at the Capitol on April 8, urging support for middle class priorities like raising revenue, creating family-supporting jobs, raising the minimum wage, protecting locked-out workers and supporting our public schools.

The Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation hosted an informal discussion with several lawmakers from the East Metro area, and more than 40 union members showed up to make their voices heard.

Thanks to all the lawmakers, union members and organizers who made this year’s Working Families Day at the Capitol a great success!
